Workplace Injury and Worker's Compensation

Workers’ compensation is a type of insurance that helps cover employees if they are injured or become unwell because of their work

Workers’ compensation is a type of insurance that helps cover employees if they are injured or become unwell because of their work. Under Australian law, all employers must hold workers’ compensation insurance to protect their staff and support safe, timely return to work.

The GPs at Next Practice Braddon have extensive experience in caring for patients under workers’ compensation and understand the ACT workers’ compensation process. Our workers’ compensation medical services include:

  • Completing initial certificates of capacity
  • Providing ongoing medical certificates and return‑to‑work plans
  • Participating in case conferences with employers, insurers and rehabilitation providers
  • Preparing medical reports to support claims and reviews

Both Dr Eu Jern Tan and Dr Ken Lee have completed Monash University’s Compensable Health and Medicine short course, strengthening their expertise in caring for patients under workers' compensation.

Please note that payment is required at the time of your appointment for all workers’ compensation consultations; you may then seek reimbursement from your employer or their insurer as appropriate.
